General Purpose Bat Box 2F (see. pic. 1 & 2)
This general purpose model is suitable for many situations, and has proven particularly successful for Common Long-eared Bat (Plecotus auritus).
It is also the ideal ‘starter’ box to see if there are bats in your area. If it is not occupied after a number of years, it is easily converted to a 2M Bird Box by simply changing the front panel.

This box has the same shape as the 2F but the front panel has a second inner wooden panel fitted to it to create a cavity wall.
This provides ideal quarters for bats that inhabit crevices, such as Nathusius´ Pipistrelle (Pipistrellus nathusii), Daubenton`s Bat (Myotis daubetonii) and the Common Pipistrelle (Pipistrellus pipistrellus).
Note that this box can be converted at a later to a 2F or 2M Bird Box simply by replacing the front panel.
